- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup water
- 2 cups vegetable oil
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 cups flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt. Gradually stir in the 3/4 cup water until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms, about 1 minute.
- 2
Heat the 2 cups oil in a deep skillet over medium-high until a tiny piece of dough sizzles immediately when dropped in, about 5 minutes.
- 3
Using wet hands, roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Carefully drop a few into the hot oil, not crowding the pan, and fry until golden brown and puffed, about 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally.
