Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a bowl, whisk 1.5 cups flour, 0.5 cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon baking powder. Make a well and add 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla; stir until a dough forms.

  3. 3

On a floured surface, roll dough into a log and cut into 8 pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten slightly and pinch edges to form 5 petals around a center.

  4. 4

Place flowers 2 inches apart on the sheet. Bake until edges are lightly golden, about 15 minutes. Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.

  5. 5

Dust with 2 tablespoons powdered sugar before serving.
