Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • ½ cup urad dal (split black lentils)
  • ½ teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil

    Soak rice, urad dal, and fenugreek seeds in water for 4-6 hours.

    Ferment the batter in a warm place for 8-12 hours until bubbly.
