Ingredients
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- 1
Separate the 1 can biscuit dough into 8 biscuits. Use a small round cutter (or a bottle cap) to cut a hole in the center of each, forming donut shapes.
- 2
In a large skillet, heat the 2 cups vegetable oil over medium heat until a drop of water sizzles on contact, about 5 minutes.
- 3
Carefully place 3-4 donuts in the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on the bottom, about 1 minute, then flip and fry the other side until golden, about 1 minute more.
- 4
Remove donuts with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. While still warm, toss in a bowl with the 0.5 cup granulated sugar and 1 tbsp ground cinnamon until coated.
- 5
In a small bowl, whisk the 1 cup powdered sugar with the 2 tbsp milk until smooth. Drizzle over the donuts or serve as a dipping glaze.
- 6
Fry the donut holes too, about 30 seconds per side, and toss them in the cinnamon sugar for extra bites.
