Ingredients
- 1 lb pizza dough
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves

Preheat oven to 450°F. Press the 1 lb pizza dough into a 9 inch cast iron skillet, pushing it up the sides to form a thick crust.

Drizzle 1 tbsp olive oil over the dough and bake for 5 minutes, until the crust is lightly puffed and just starting to brown.

Spread 1 cup tomato sauce over the hot crust, then sprinkle 2 cups shredded mozzarella evenly on top.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown at the edges and the crust is crisp.

Drizzle with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil and scatter 0.25 cup fresh basil leaves over the top. Let cool 2 minutes before slicing.
