Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu
  • 1 head butter lettuce
  • 1 cup fresh herbs (mint, cilantro, Thai basil), chopped
  • 1 medium cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium carrot, cut into thin matchsticks
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

    Press tofu between paper towels with a weight on top for 10 minutes to remove excess moisture.

    Cut pressed tofu into 1/2-inch-thick cubes. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high until shimmering.

    Pan-fry tofu cubes without stirring for 3 minutes per side until golden and crispy on all edges.

    Whisk fish sauce and lime juice together in a small bowl until combined.

    Separate butter lettuce leaves and arrange on a platter with cucumber, carrot, herbs, and crispy tofu.
