Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 8 oz tortilla chips
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup jalapeños, sliced
  • ½ cup sour cream

Instructions

    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, until no pink remains, ~6 minutes.

    Stir in chili powder and cumin until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Season with salt and pepper.

    Spread tortilla chips on a large plate or shallow baking dish in a single layer.

    Spoon seasoned beef over the chips, then scatter cheese and jalapeños on top.

    Microwave uncovered for 2 minutes until cheese melts, or broil 3 inches from the heat for 2–3 minutes.

    Drizzle sour cream over the nachos and serve immediately.
