Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) canned pinto or black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups tortilla chips
  • 1 cup guacamole (store-bought or fresh)
  • 1 cup salsa (red or green)

Instructions

    Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat until foaming, about 60 seconds.

    Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

    Add drained beans and mash with a fork or wooden spoon until mostly smooth but still slightly chunky, 3–4 minutes.

    Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a serving bowl.

    Arrange warm tortillas, guacamole, salsa, and tortilla chips around the beans on a platter.

    Serve hot. Dip chips and tear tortillas into the creamy beans.
