Ingredients
- 1 whole (about 2 lbs) crab
- ½ lb shrimp
- ½ lb clams
- 4 stalks green onions
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- 1
Clean the crab, shrimp, and clams. Cut the crab into 4 pieces, leaving the shell on. Pat all seafood dry with paper towels.
- 2
In a small bowl, mix the 3 tbsp soy sauce and 2 tbsp oyster sauce with 1/4 cup water. Set aside.
- 3
Heat the 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a clay pot or heavy pot over medium-high heat. Add the 4 minced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- 4
Add the crab pieces and cook, stirring occasionally, until the shells turn bright red, about 5 minutes.
- 5
Add the shrimp and clams, then pour in the sauce. Cover and simmer until the shrimp are pink and the clams have opened, about 8-10 minutes. Discard any unopened clams.
- 6
Slice the 4 green onions into 2-inch pieces and scatter over the top. Serve hot directly from the pot.
- 7
Optional: add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a splash of rice wine for extra depth.
