Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.75 cups milk
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat waffle iron on medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes until hot.

  2. 2

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

  3. 3

Whisk eggs and milk together in a separate bowl until combined.

  4. 4

Pour egg mixture into dry ingredients. Fold until just combined; batter should be slightly lumpy.

  5. 5

Fold in melted butter until evenly mixed. Do not overmix.

  6. 6

Lightly butter the waffle iron grids. Pour 3/4 cup batter into center.

  7. 7

Close lid and cook until steam stops escaping and edges are golden, 3–4 min.

  8. 8

Carefully transfer waffle to a plate. Repeat with remaining batter.

  9. 9

Serve warm with butter, maple syrup, fresh berries, or whipped cream.
