Chicken Pasta with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp olive oil

Cook the 8 oz pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

While pasta cooks, heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add 1 lb chicken breast and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6 minutes per side. Remove and slice.

Pour 2 cups tomato sauce into the skillet, add 1 tsp dried oregano, and simmer until slightly thickened, about 3 minutes. Return chicken to the sauce.

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with sauce. Sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella and cover until melted, about 2 minutes. Serve with red pepper flakes and fresh herbs if desired.
