Cheese Fondue

Ingredients
- 400 g Gruyère cheese
- 200 g Emmental cheese
- 300 ml dry white wine
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp kirsch
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 loaf baguette
- 1 tsp paprika
Instructions

Rub the inside of a heavy pot with the garlic clove, then discard the garlic.

Pour the wine into the pot and heat over medium until steaming but not boiling.

Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring constantly until fully melted and smooth.

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the kirsch until smooth, then stir into the cheese.

Season with nutmeg and pepper, and continue stirring until the fondue is thick and creamy.

Transfer the fondue to a fondue pot and keep warm over a low flame.

Cut the baguette into bite-size cubes and serve with dipping forks.

Sprinkle the fondue with paprika just before serving.
