Ingredients
- 1 14-inch plank cedar plank
- 1 1 lb (two 8-oz fillets) salmon fillet, skin-on
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 whole (sliced thin) lemon
- 2 tbsp fresh herbs (dill or parsley, chopped)
- 1 clove garlic clove, minced

Soak the cedar plank in water for at least 15 minutes (or while you prep).

Preheat oven to 400°F. Pat salmon dry and season generously with salt and pepper.

Place the soaked plank on a large baking sheet. Lay salmon skin-side down on the plank.

Layer lemon slices over the salmon. Dot with butter and scatter minced garlic and herbs on top.

Slide into the oven and roast for 12–14 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
