Ingredients

  • 2 oz espresso (or strong brewed coffee)
  • 8 oz whole milk
  • ½ tbsp honey or sugar

Instructions

  1. 1

Pull two shots of espresso into a warm ceramic cup, or brew 2 oz strong hot coffee.

  2. 2

Steam milk until it reaches 150–155°F and the pitcher hums with microfoam, ~45 seconds.

  3. 3

Stir honey or sugar into the espresso until dissolved.

  4. 4

Pour steamed milk into the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon, filling to 3/4 full.

  5. 5

Top with a thin layer of microfoam, about 0.5 inch.

  • espresso machine with steam wand (or French press or pour-over for strong coffee)
  • ceramic or glass cup (8–10 oz)
