Ingredients
- 2 shots (or 1.5 oz strong brewed coffee) espresso
- 10 oz whole milk, cold
- 1 tsp (optional) sugar
Instructions
- 1
Pull or brew 2 espresso shots into a warm cup. If using brewed coffee, use strong 1.5 oz.
- 2
Pour cold milk into a frothing pitcher, filling it one-third full. Add sugar if desired.
- 3
Froth the milk with a steam wand or electric frother until doubled in volume with fine bubbles, ~3–4 minutes.
- 4
Tap the pitcher gently on the counter to pop large bubbles. Pour the steamed milk into the espresso, holding back the foam with a spoon.
- 5
Top with a thin layer of microfoam by tilting the cup and pouring slowly from the pitcher.
- 6
Serve immediately while the foam is still glossy and the drink is hot.
