5-Minute Café Latte

Espresso meets steamed milk in under 3 minutes. A silky, café-quality latte you can make at home with just an espresso machine or strong brewed coffee.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot (1.5 oz) or 3 tbsp espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 8 oz whole milk
  • ½ tsp sugar (optional)
  • 1 pinch cocoa powder or cinnamon (optional garnish)

Instructions

    Pull or brew 1.5 oz espresso into a 10–12 oz cup, or brew 3 tbsp strong coffee.

    Steam or heat milk to 150–155°F until foam rises to the top of the pitcher.

    Pour steamed milk into the espresso, holding back foam with a spoon, filling to just below the rim.

    Top with a thin layer of milk foam and serve immediately.
