Brunost Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread (white or whole grain)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 75 g brunost (brown cheese)
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or honey (optional garnish)

Instructions

    Heat a skillet over medium heat for 1 minute.

    Butter one side of each bread slice generously and place butter-side down in the skillet.

    Toast for 2–3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

    Flip toast onto a plate, buttered-side up.

    Slice brunost into thin slices and layer on the hot toast.

    Sprinkle with sea salt. Cheese will soften and begin to melt. Serve immediately.
