Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 0 to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

    Butter one side of each bread slice generously.

    Heat a skillet over medium heat until a drop of water flicks and sizzles, ~60 seconds.

    Place one slice butter-side down in the skillet. Lay cheese on top, then the second slice butter-side up.
