Ingredients

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
  • ¾ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1.5 cups fresh berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or mixed)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Pour 1 cup oats into a mason jar or container with a tight-fitting lid.

  2. 2

Add 1 cup yogurt, 0.75 cup milk, 2 tablespoons honey, and 0.25 teaspoon salt directly into the jar.

  3. 3

Screw the lid on tightly and shake the jar vigorously for 30 seconds until the oats, yogurt, milk, and honey are completely mixed and uniform in color.

  4. 4

Open the lid and stir in 1.5 cups berries with a spoon, folding them gently to distribute throughout without crushing them.

  5. 5

Screw the lid back on and place the jar in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours or overnight until the oats are soft and creamy.

  6. 6

Remove from the refrigerator, stir well, and eat directly from the jar or pour into a bowl. Add a splash of milk if the oats are too thick.
