Ingredients

  • ¾ lb beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • 4 pieces pita bread
  • ½ cup tzatziki sauce, sour cream mixed with dill and lemon juice

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

  2. 2

Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant, stirring constantly.

  3. 3

Stir in cumin and oregano, cook 15 seconds until the spices bloom.

  4. 4

Add beef in a single layer. Let sear 2 minutes without stirring until edges brown.

  5. 5

Stir and continue cooking 3–4 minutes until beef is cooked through and caramelized.

  6. 6

Warm pita in the skillet 20 seconds per side until pliable and lightly charred.

  7. 7

Spread tzatziki on each pita, divide beef evenly, and fold in half.

  8. 8

Serve immediately with tomato, cucumber, and onion on the side if desired.
