Ingredients

- ¼ medium, finely diced yellow onion
- 2 tbsp, chopped fresh parsley
- ½ tsp ground allspice
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 pieces (6-inch) pita bread
- ½ medium, diced tomato
- 1 tbsp olive oil

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 60 seconds.

Brown ground beef with diced onion, breaking up the meat with a spoon, until no pink remains, 5–6 minutes.

Stir in allspice, cinnamon, parsley, salt, and pepper. Cook 1 minute until fragrant, then remove from heat.

Cut each pita in half horizontally to create a pocket. Stuff each pocket with beef mixture and diced tomato.
