Ingredients

  • 6 oz ground pork
  • 2 whole large eggs, hard-boiled and halved
  • 1 whole fresh jalapeño, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 whole store-bought steamed bao buns
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Brown ground pork in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until no pink remains, ~5 minutes.

  2. 2

Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, then remove from heat.

  3. 3

Set up a steamer basket over simmering water. Gently fill each bao with a spoonful of pork, one egg half, and 2–3 jalapeño slices.

  4. 4

Arrange filled buns in the steamer seam-side up. Cover and steam until heated through, ~8 minutes.
