Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) canned chickpeas, drained and patted dry
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ¾ tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 whole lemon, zested

    Pat chickpeas dry with a clean kitchen towel to remove excess moisture.

    In a bowl, combine smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.

    Toss chickpeas with olive oil, then add spice mixture and coat evenly.

    Spread chickpeas in air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 380°F.

    Shake basket halfway through. Cook until golden and crispy, ~15 minutes total.

    Transfer to a bowl and toss with lemon zest immediately while warm.

    Serve warm as a snack, salad topper, or with hummus and pita.
