Ingredients

  • 1 box box cake mix (any flavor), baked per package, cooled
  • ½ cup frosting (store-bought, any flavor)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or melting chocolate
  • ½ cup sprinkles (rainbow, chocolate, or pearl)
  • 12 count lollipop sticks or wooden skewers
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or shortening (for thinning chocolate)

Instructions

    Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs using your hands or a fork until it resembles wet sand.

    Mix in frosting until the mixture holds together when squeezed—add frosting a tablespoon at a time.

    Roll mixture into 12 balls roughly the size of a golf ball, using an ice cream scoop or your palms.

    Insert a stick into the top of each ball, then refrigerate for 10 minutes until firm.

    Melt chocolate with coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring between pulses.
