Ingredients

  • 1 whole (about 2 cups crumbled) store-bought pound cake or one box cake mix, baked
  • ¾ cup frosting (canned vanilla or chocolate)
  • 1.5 cup chocolate chips or melts
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 12 whole cake pop sticks
  • ½ cup sprinkles, edible glitter, or nonpareils

Instructions

  1. 1

Crumble cooled cake into fine crumbs in a bowl—no big chunks.

  2. 2

Mix in frosting 1 tablespoon at a time until dough holds together when squeezed.

  3. 3

Roll into 12 golf-ball-size balls. Chill in the freezer while you prep the chocolate.

  4. 4

Melt chocolate chips with oil in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

  5. 5

Dip each cake ball 3/4 of the way into chocolate, then twist and lift to let excess drip off.

  6. 6

Immediately sprinkle with toppings while chocolate is wet. Stick upright in a stand to set.
