Ingredients

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet)

Instructions

    Mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and a pinch of salt in a microwave-safe mug.

    Stir in milk and 2 tbsp melted butter until batter is smooth, no lumps.

    Microwave the mug on high for 2 minutes until cake rises and pulls away from sides.

    Repeat steps 1–3 in a second mug. Let both cool for 1 minute.

    Heat 2 tbsp butter and chocolate chips in a small bowl 30 seconds at a time, stirring until glossy.
