Ingredients
- ½ lb store-bought pizza dough or naan
- ½ lb ground beef
- ¼ cup onion, minced
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 whole lemon, divided (juiced + wedges)
- 2 cups mixed salad greens (lettuce, tomato, onion)
- 8 fl oz ayran or plain yogurt drink

Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, breaking up with a spoon, until no pink remains, ~5 minutes.

Stir in minced onion and tomato paste, cooking until onion is soft and mixture darkens, ~2 minutes.

Season beef with salt, pepper, and half the lemon juice. Remove from heat and set aside.

Roll pizza dough into a thin oval (~1/4-inch thick). Heat a bit of oil in the skillet over medium-high.

Place dough in skillet and cook 2–3 minutes until edges curl and bottom starts to crisp.

Spread beef mixture evenly over dough. Flip and cook 1–2 minutes until bread is golden and crispy underneath.

Transfer to a plate. Toss greens with remaining lemon juice and salt. Serve lahmacun with salad, lemon wedges, and cold ayran.
