Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare), cut into 2-rib pieces
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 portion yellow rice (cooked), cucumber, tomato, and lettuce for serving

Instructions

  1. 1

Pat ribs dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

  3. 3

Working in batches, sear ribs until golden brown on both sides, 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate.

  4. 4

In the same skillet, add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar.

  5. 5

Return ribs to skillet and toss to coat. Simmer uncovered for 6–8 minutes until glaze darkens and edges char slightly.

  6. 6

Serve ribs hot alongside yellow rice, sliced cucumber, tomato, and lettuce on the side.
