Ingredients

  • 2 stalks fresh sugarcane stalks, peeled
  • 1 whole lime
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • ¼ cup water (optional, for dilution)
  • ⅛ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Feed sugarcane stalks through a manual or electric juicer, pressing firmly until you've extracted all liquid. You should yield about 1 cup of pale-green juice.

  2. 2

Pour juice into a tall glass and add ice cubes, filling about halfway up the glass.

  3. 3

Squeeze half the lime over the ice and juice, then add a tiny pinch of salt to enhance sweetness.

  4. 4

Stir gently and top with more ice if desired. Serve immediately with a lime wedge.
