Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into 3/4-inch cubes
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1.5 tbsp berbere spice blend
- 1 small red onion, cut into thick wedges
- 1 whole fresh jalapeño, sliced

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

Add beef cubes and sear without stirring for 2 minutes until edges brown, then stir and cook 2 more minutes.

Add garlic and ginger, stirring constantly for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Sprinkle berbere over the beef and stir to coat evenly, cooking for 1 minute.
