Ingredients

  • 2 cups black tea (brewed and cooled)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 2 cups ice

Instructions

    Brew 2 cups strong black tea (2 tea bags or 2 tsp loose tea steeped 5 minutes in boiling water), then remove tea bags.

    Stir sugar into hot tea until completely dissolved, then let cool to room temperature.

    Squeeze juice from half the lemon into the cooled tea and stir.

    Fill two tall glasses with ice, pour tea over top, and garnish with a lemon wheel or wedge.
