Ingredients

  • 8 oz wheat noodles
  • 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp chili oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¼ cup peanuts
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup cilantro

Instructions

  1. 1

Cook the 8 oz wheat noodles in boiling water until al dente, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix the 3 tbsp dark soy sauce, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tbsp chili oil, and 2 minced garlic cloves until the sugar dissolves.

  3. 3

Toast the 1 tbsp sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Set aside.

  4. 4

Toss the drained noodles with the sauce until evenly coated. Add a splash of water if the sauce is too thick.

  5. 5

Top with the 0.25 cup peanuts, toasted sesame seeds, and 0.25 cup chopped cilantro. Serve warm or at room temperature.
