Ingredients

  • 10 oz sushi-grade tuna, 1-inch thick
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice, warm
  • 1 cup cucumber and avocado, sliced

Instructions

    Whisk soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, and sesame oil in a small bowl.

    Cut tuna into 1-inch cubes and place in a separate bowl.

    Pour marinade over tuna and gently fold to coat. Let sit 5 minutes.

    Divide warm rice between two bowls and flatten gently with the back of a spoon.

    Top each bowl with marinated tuna and accumulated marinade, then add cucumber and avocado.

    Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top and serve immediately.
