Ingredients
- 8 oz ahi tuna, sushi-grade
- 4 whole tostadas (crispy tortilla shells)
- 1 whole avocado, ripe
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds, white or mix
- ½ cup salsa roja (store-bought)
- 1 tbsp salsa macha or chili oil

Pat ahi tuna dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Heat oil in a skillet over high heat until it shimmers, about 1 minute. Sear tuna 90 seconds per side without moving.

Transfer tuna to a cutting board. Slice into 1/4-inch-thick strips. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.

Halve the avocado lengthwise, remove the pit, and slice the flesh into thin strips.

Arrange tostadas on a plate. Layer avocado slices, then seared tuna strips on each one.
