Prosciutto & Melon with Hot Honey

Ingredients

  • 8 slices prosciutto di Parma
  • 1 whole cantaloupe or honeydew melon
  • 3 tbsp hot honey
  • 8 leaves fresh basil
  • ½ whole lemon
  • 1 pinch fleur de sel or sea salt

Instructions

    Arrange prosciutto slices on a skillet over medium heat for 1–2 minutes per side until edges curl and centers crisp slightly. Transfer to a plate.

    Cut melon in half, scoop out seeds, then slice into 1/4-inch-thick wedges or cut into 1-inch cubes. Arrange on a serving plate.

    Drape crispy prosciutto over the melon, or fold prosciutto and tuck between melon pieces.

    Drizzle hot honey over the entire plate in a thin stream. Tear fresh basil leaves and scatter across.

    Squeeze lemon juice over the top and finish with a pinch of fleur de sel. Serve immediately.
