- 1 tsp English breakfast tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
- 8 oz water, freshly boiled
- 2 tbsp whole milk
- ½ tsp sugar (optional)

Pour freshly boiled water into a ceramic cup, letting it warm for 10 seconds, then empty.

Add tea leaves or tea bag to the warm cup.

Pour 8 oz boiling water over the tea. Steep for 3–4 minutes until deep golden.
