Ingredients

  • 1 tsp English breakfast tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 8 oz water, freshly boiled
  • 2 tbsp whole milk
  • ½ tsp sugar (optional)

Instructions

    Pour freshly boiled water into a ceramic cup, letting it warm for 10 seconds, then empty.

    Add tea leaves or tea bag to the warm cup.

    Pour 8 oz boiling water over the tea. Steep for 3–4 minutes until deep golden.

    Remove tea bag or strain leaves. Pour in milk, stir, and taste before sweetening.

    Serve immediately while steaming hot.
