Ingredients
- 8 oz penne or rigatoni
- 1 can (14 oz) canned crushed tomatoes
- ½ cup vodka
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

Boil salted water in a large pot. Add penne and cook until 1 minute before tender.

While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Pour vodka into the skillet. Let it simmer until smell becomes mellow, 2 minutes.

Stir in crushed tomatoes with juice. Simmer gently for 4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Pour cream into the sauce and stir. Taste and season with salt and pepper.

Drain pasta, reserving 1 cup pasta water. Add pasta to the sauce.

Toss over medium heat for 1 minute. If too thick, add pasta water by the spoonful.
