- 1 large onion, sliced into thin half-moons
- ½ cup german lager or pilsner beer
- 2 tbsp whole grain mustard
- ½ tsp caraway seeds
- 1 tbsp olive oil

Arrange bratwurst in a single layer. Sear without moving for 3 minutes until golden on bottom.
