Ingredients

  • 3 whole Large eggs
  • ¼ cup Whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 4 slices Bread slices (challah or brioche)
  • 4 slices Ham slices
  • 4 slices Turkey slices
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese slices
  • 3 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • ½ cup Raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. 1

Whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a shallow bowl until well combined.

  2. 2

Lay out 2 bread slices and layer each with 2 ham slices, 2 turkey slices, and 1 Swiss cheese slice. Top with remaining bread slices to create 2 sandwiches.

  3. 3

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 1.5 tablespoons butter.

  4. 4

Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly but not soaking too long.

  5. 5

Place sandwiches in the hot skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy on the first side.

  6. 6

Flip sandwiches, add remaining butter to pan, and cook for 4-5 minutes more until the second side is golden and cheese is melted.

  7. 7

Transfer sandwiches to serving plates and dust generously with powdered sugar.

  8. 8

Serve immediately with raspberry jam on the side for dipping or spreading.
