Ingredients

  • 1 piece (untreated) cedar plank
  • 2 pieces (6 oz each) salmon fillets, skin-on
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 piece (sliced thin) lemon
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme or dill

Instructions

  1. 1

Submerge cedar plank in water for 15 minutes while the grill heats to medium-high.

  2. 2

Whisk maple syrup, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard in a small bowl until smooth.

  3. 3

Pat salmon skin-dry. Lay both fillets skin-side down on the soaked plank.

  4. 4

Brush salmon generously with the glaze, then top with lemon slices and thyme sprigs.

  5. 5

Set plank on the grill grate. Cover and cook 12–15 minutes until salmon flakes easily at the thickest part.

  6. 6

Serve straight from the plank, drizzling any pan juices over top.
