Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground pork
  • 3 stalks scallions (white and light green parts)
  • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 12 count round dumpling wrappers
  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

  1. 1

Mince 2 scallion stalks and garlic. Mix ground pork with minced scallion, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 0.5 tbsp sesame oil until just combined.

  2. 2

Spoon 1 tbsp filling into each dumpling wrapper, wet the edges, fold in half, then pinch corners together to seal. Set aside.

  3. 3

Bring broth to a boil in a large pot over high heat, about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

Gently slide dumplings into boiling broth. Once they float and simmer 2 minutes more, they're done, roughly 4 minutes total.

  5. 5

Slice remaining scallion greens. Drizzle soup with remaining 0.5 tbsp sesame oil and 0.5 tbsp soy sauce.

  6. 6

Ladle into bowls, top with sliced scallion greens, and serve hot.
