Ingredients

  • 2 whole ripe tomatoes (large)
  • 8 oz buffalo mozzarella
  • 10 leaves fresh basil leaves
  • 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions

    Slice tomatoes into 1/4-inch rounds. Pat mozzarella dry with paper towels, then slice into similar-thickness rounds.

    On a plate, layer tomato and mozzarella slices, alternating and slightly overlapping. Tuck basil leaves between layers.

    Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar evenly over the top. Season with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked pepper.
