Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp butter, melted, divided
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup water, warm
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil for pan

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Add warm water and 2 tbsp melted butter, stirring until a soft dough forms.

  2. 2

Knead dough on a floured surface for 3 minutes until smooth. Divide into 2 portions and rest for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

Roll one dough portion into a thin 8-inch round. Brush with 1 tbsp melted butter, fold into quarters, then roll thin again.

  4. 4

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high until it shimmers. Pan-fry the folded dough until golden brown, 2–3 minutes per side.

  5. 5

Transfer to a plate. Repeat steps 3–4 with the second dough portion.

  6. 6

Drizzle both flatbreads with honey, dust with cinnamon, and serve warm.
