Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp hojicha powder (or 1 hojicha tea bag)
  • 6 oz hot water
  • 6 oz whole milk (or oat milk)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)
  • 1 cookie butter cookie (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup ice (optional, for iced version)

Instructions

    Whisk hojicha powder with 2 oz hot water until completely smooth and dissolved, ~30 seconds.

    Add remaining 4 oz hot water and stir in brown sugar until it dissolves.

    Heat milk in a small saucepan or microwave until steaming, 60–90 seconds. Froth with a milk wand or whisk until foamy.

    Pour hojicha mixture into a cup, then pour steamed milk on top. Spoon foam over the surface.
