Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • ½ medium onion, minced
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp warm spice blend (cumin, paprika, black pepper, cinnamon)
  • 2 pieces pita bread

Instructions

    Mix yogurt with minced garlic and a pinch of salt; set aside.

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

    Add minced onion and cook 2 minutes until softened and starting to brown.

    Add ground lamb and spice blend, breaking up with a spoon until no pink remains, about 6 minutes.

    Fold in diced tomato and cook 1 minute until heated through; season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Warm pita briefly in the skillet. Divide kebab between pita, top with garlicky yogurt, and serve.
