Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz dark chocolate (chopped or chips)
  • ¼ cup heavy cream or milk

Instructions

    Heat oil in a heavy pot or deep skillet to 375°F. Mix cinnamon and sugar on a shallow plate.

    Boil water with a pinch of salt. Stir in flour until a soft dough forms, about 1 minute.

    Transfer dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe 4-inch strips directly into hot oil.

    Fry until golden brown, ~90 seconds per side. Flip once with tongs. Drain on paper towels.
