Ingredients

  • 1 lb bok choy, leaves separated
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • ½ tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 60 seconds.

  2. 2

Add bok choy leaves in a single layer. Don't stir — let them sear undisturbed for 2 minutes.

  3. 3

Toss bok choy and cook another 2 minutes until edges are caramelized and leaves start to wilt.

  4. 4

Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.

  5. 5

Remove from heat. Add soy sauce, butter, and sesame oil, tossing until the glaze coats every leaf.

  6. 6

Serve immediately while the bok choy is still hot and glossy.
