Ingredients

  • ¾ lb beef sirloin or ribeye, cut into 1/4-inch-thick strips
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 whole lime, halved

Instructions

  1. 1

Toss beef strips with ginger, garlic, turmeric, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

  3. 3

Add beef to the skillet in a single layer. Do not stir for 2 minutes — let it sear until deeply browned.

  4. 4

Flip the strips and cook 1 minute more until caramelized on the second side.

  5. 5

Squeeze lime juice over the beef. Toss briefly to coat.

  6. 6

Serve hot, drizzled with any pan juices.
