Ingredients

  • 1.25 lb ground pork
  • ¾ cup bread, finely torn into crumbs
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix ground pork, bread crumbs, minced onion, egg, and 1 tbsp mustard in a bowl until just combined.

  2. 2

Season with salt and pepper. Form into 12 patties about 2 inches wide and 0.5 inch thick.

  3. 3

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 90 seconds.

  4. 4

Working in batches, pan-fry frikadellen 3–4 minutes per side until edges are golden and centers feel firm.

  5. 5

Transfer cooked frikadellen to a plate and loosely cover to keep warm.

  6. 6

Whisk remaining 1 tbsp mustard with apple cider vinegar and 3 tbsp water in a small bowl.

  7. 7

Drizzle the sauce over frikadellen or serve on the side. Eat hot.
