Ingredients

  • 12 count oysters, shucked in the shell
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

Heat butter in a small skillet over medium. Add garlic and cook 45 seconds until fragrant, then remove from heat.

  2. 2

Mix panko with the garlic butter in a bowl, breaking up clumps. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.

  3. 3

Arrange oyster shells on a baking sheet, nestling them so they sit flat and won't tip.

  4. 4

Spoon panko-butter mixture onto each oyster, dividing evenly. Press gently so it sticks.

  5. 5

Broil 3 inches from the heating element for 4–5 minutes until golden brown and sizzling.

  6. 6

Squeeze lemon over the oysters, scatter parsley on top, and serve immediately.
